Some 40 minutes from Venice by vaporetto (water bus), Burano is a highly photogenic place and one of the world's most colourful villages. Colour and symmetry are the striking and obvious elements all around. Walking along the narrow and quiet streets and canals gives me a joyful feeling. At first you would think Burano has been set up for the mere concern of photographers. By zooming in instead of trying to get the whole streetscene I tried for a more abstract approach,  by focusing on just colour, basic lines, structure and light.
